Five years after her headline-making wedding to Donald,
Melania Trump has re-emerged to introduce her new
jewelry line on QVC. Janet Allon recently caught up with
the busy, Slovenian-born beauty to find out what made her say
“yes” to this project, and what life as Mrs. Trump, Barron’s
mom and now a jewelry designer is like.
Melania Trump is at home looking stunning . . . which is just kind of what she does. It’s as natural to her as breathing. Through the floor-to-
ceiling windows of the Trumps’ grand living room,
Manhattan north of Trump Tower is spread out before
Melania, her willing oyster. She sits on one of the
white gilded sofas, relaxed and smiling, dressed in a
black Gucci pantsuit, which fits her to perfection. In it, she
conjures a business-like Sophia Loren, her height enhanced
by Christian Louboutin black heels, her curves enhanced
by something even more divine. There’s beautiful, and then
there’s this whole other level that Melania—and precious
few other women—occupy. Is it any wonder that designers
long to dress her, cameras look for her and women want to
be like her?
